
IQARO, in collaboration with Pathfinder projects ARTEMIS, Q-ONE and FERROMON is organizing a Summer Ph.D. School on Quantum Optics and Quantum Materials, which will be held in Lecce, Italy, from May 26 to May 30, 2025. This event aims to bring together emerging scholars and experts in quantum sciences and technologies, focusing on the latest research and developments in quantum materials, nanodevices, and photonics.
The school’s program includes in-depth lectures on quantum computing and quantum information, with insights across a range of platforms such as superconductors, quantum materials, and photons. In addition to comprehensive morning sessions at the former Convent of Santa Maria del Carmine (now the Rectorate of the University of Lecce), participants will enjoy coffee breaks and lunch in the adjacent historic cloister.
Highlights of the event include:
- A session at the Institute of Nanotechnology of CNR, featuring a lab tour.
- A poster session hosted in the historic Castello Carlo V.
- Evening lectures at a local historic theater.
- A welcome cocktail featuring QTris, an interactive quantum game.
- Social events, including a group dinner and a local excursion.
